I am a work in progress!!!
I live in Illinois. I love all forms of art but my passions are nature photography, poetry, drawings/paintings and music.
I am appreciative of any tips on techniques and critiques of my work. Please due your best to make them constructive and helpful rather than just giving me "negative" feedback without telling me why.
What programs would you recommend? I use Adobe products on my artwork.
*Update: I have started school and realized I'm great at nothing. ha ha At this point I'm doing it just for fun. I'm handicap and cannot walk well so I see some amazing shots but unable to capture them. I see many in areas that I cannot walk to or get close enough to. I'm greatly saddened by it but I accept it.

My mind is fuzzy, my heart is raw
I'm not sure what's wrong with me
No matter how large the crowd has been
I'm still as lonely as I can be
I can laugh now and seem to be happy
But the scar in my heart is still there
The pain is so real I feel like dying
But I would never do that, I swear
It isn't as bad as it once was
The blood of my pain is now gone
The slow constant ache is all that is left
But now I'm as vulnerable as a fawn
Most of this is the loss of Mom and Dad
They were such a large part of my life
They showered me with love every day
And we rarely ever had any strife

"The Year of Change" was my motto this year,
My intentions were only the best.
But my life has been such a whirlwind,
So much so that I'm feeling depressed.
I thought I was ready for the day
When the phone call would be sure to come,
"She passed away early this morning",
From that point on I just went numb.
I knew my Mom was very sick,
She wouldn't live for many more years.
She fought battle after battle for one more breath,
And swore she wouldn't give in to her fears.
The part that hurt most was watching my Dad
His days were filled with empty time.
He was no longer happy wit
